For the longest time, I have refrained from writing anything political on this blog. I want my blog to be a safe space for what I believe to be good, untainted by the cruelties we see every day. Besides, there’s already so much noise on social media, all ranging from frustrating to disheartening. Because of the turmoil of it all, I have long since reduced myself to Facebook likes (or angry reactions, as the case may apply).
But this has gone too far. Way too far.

We have this extraordinary chance to serve, to heal, and to comfort, and I hope we always use it the best way we can.
